The online listing labels this as a charger for the iPhone 3GS. The shippling label repeats the claim. The adapter, however, does NOT charge the iPhone 3GS. I receive "Charging is not supported with this accessory" when connecting. It is not worth your time or money to try this product. Dragon Imports is either blatantly engaging in false advertising or they are not aware of what their manufacturer is producing. This junk is going back.

DOES NOT WORK with my iPhone 3GS, as stated in the product description, and as sold by "Dragon Imports". When this full product itself is plugged into the wall, the iPhone 3GS shows the "Charging is not supported with this accessory" message. It works fine when you use the included USB charging cable and plug it into either a PC & the 3GS or plus the included USB cable into the original wall power adapter that came with the 3GS & the 3GS. This particular power adapter product DOES NOT WORK with the iPhone 3GS (or anything else stated, for that matter, I would assume). I'm returning it!

When charging with this my 3GS goes nutso, the screen gets super 'jumpy' (won't scroll smoothly, acts as if its being short circuited or something) and windows open and close by themselves. My guess is somewhere between the cable and the charger its pumping either too much (most likely) or too little juice into my poor phone... Not sure if I should continue using them or not. :(

This review is from: AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable (6.5 Feet/2.0 Meters) - Supports Ethernet, 3D, and Audio Return [Newest Standard] (Electronics)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program( What's this?)
This is the HDMI cable to get right now: an HDMI 1.4 cable at a good price.
HDMI 1.4
HDMI 1.4 is the latest standard (as of November 2010 at least). It is backward compatible with other HDMI gear (mine all are HDMI 1.3 compliant). And it will be more useful to you if your TV supports HDMI 1.4 networking. I was not able to test the Ethernet networking capability of this cable, but I think the idea behind it is a good one.
For my current home entertainment setup, I had to set up separate Internet connections on my TV, set top box, Blu-Ray player, and WD TV LIVE (HTPC). It would have been a lot easier if I could have just set up my TV's internet connection, and allow all of my components to share it. That's what HDMI 1.4 promises to let you do--as long as all of your hardware, including the cables, supports it. This cable will support that functionality; it's more "future-proof" than the HDMI 1.3 cables I have been using.
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program( What's this?)
I hooked this braided HDMI cable between my HDTV and my computer to stream video from the internet to my HDTV. The picture is clear and the sound quality is very good. I don't see any difference while using this cable from computer to HDTV than I do when watching TV directly from my satellite box. The only problem I have with this cable is that it is very thick due to the braiding, which makes it hard to turn. I need to plug it into one side of my HDTV, loop it around the back of the TV and bring it out on the other side where I place my computer out of tripping range. The thickness of the cable makes it hard to loop around and it's heavier than the other cables I have. This cable would probably be best for professional use where there might be heavy usage and plugging and unplugging of the cord. It will probably stand the test of time and constant movement easier than the regular smooth vinyl cables. But, for normal home use, the vinyl cables are easier to handle... Read more

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program( What's this?)
I have tried a number of different HDMI cables ranging from very cheap to extremely expensive. I have not found any difference in signal quality between the high priced name brands and the cheaper versions. Some of the cheaper cables did have issues with meeting the latest HDMI standards and that is where these Amazon cables fit in. These cables provide the latest HDMI standards along with the same performance as name brand cables. I have not tested the Ethernet capability but I know that it is there for future products that may need it. Why would you pay more when these cables provide the same functionality at a fraction of the cost?
*** Positive Points: ***
- Great Build Quality (unlike some cheaper cables that have cheap connectors) - Work EXACTLY the same as higher priced cables
*** Negative Points: ***
- Absolutely none
Overall: Very few products deserve 5 stars but these cables provide excellent... Read more

This review is from: TCL L40FHDF12TA 40-Inch 1080p 60 Hz LCD HDTV with 2-Year Warranty (Electronics)
UPDATE 12/27/11:
Since writing this review, I was contacted by phone both by TCL directly and the management of A&D Electronics and they are currently shipping me a new unit, 2-day air, and have profusely apologized for the extensive communication issues I received during the service process.
I still believe TCL would benefit from a significant investment and restructuring in their customer service workflow, and the frustrations of my customer-service experience will weigh into my decision to purchase again from them. But they have finally resolved my issue in a very high-touch manner, so I have moved my original review of one star to three stars. I hope that others who experience similar customer service woes can also find resolution for their issues.

I purchased this TV on sale in Dec. 2011 for under $300. It's an updated model of TCL L40FHDF11TA. It's put in a master bedroom. I will rate each category in Amazon's system of 1 to 5 stars. My ratings are relative to how this TV stacks up against other 40" LCD TVs in its price range.
SETUP *** (3 stars) For wall mount, you need a VESA 400x400mm TV mount. I used the stand. For those who are trying to fit it into a shelf, here are the dimensions with stand: 38.5" x 27" x 9". The power cord does not have a power brick attached which is a plus. All the connections are well placed for use with a stand. I'm using a Philips learning universal remote control which did find codes... Read more

12/6/11 -Update regarding the random powering on issue. Finally called TCL customer service. They were aware of this bug and walked me through doing a firmware update. Phone call and update took all of 10 minutes. You go to the website, download the update, put it on a memory stick, plug the stick into the USB port on the TV et voila! 2 clicks and 30 seconds later you're done.
Bought this t.v. for a new apartment and with a few caveats, am pleased with my purchase. The picture quality is great, sound completely adequate for my needs. The only oddities are these. The T.V. turns itself on randomly. I turn it off and somewhere between 1 and 8 hours later it turns back on. read the manual - found nothing to explain it, googled and found one user with a similar complaint who was advised to contact the manufacturer. That seems somewhat ominous - I will contact the company and post later with the outcome. The second oddity is that COMCAST does not have the codes from... Read more
